Daily Devotional adapted from a sermon by Tim Bach, preached on6/29/25

Day 1: The Power of Choices
- Opening Prayer:
  Pray for wisdom and discernment in making choices that align with God's will. Ask for guidance to see the impact of choices on personal and community life.

- Scripture Reading:
  Joshua 24:15 - "Choose for yourselves today whom you will serve..."

- Daily Topic:
  Reflect on the significance of choices and their long-lasting effects on your life and others.

- Life Application Follow-Up Exercise:
  Identify a decision you've been putting off. Write down the potential impacts of each choice and seek God's guidance through prayer and scripture.

- Closing Prayer:
  Thank God for the ability to make choices and ask for His help in choosing wisely and according to His will.

Day 2: Passing Down Faith
- Opening Prayer:
  Pray for intentionality in sharing and living out your faith in ways that impact future generations.

- Scripture Reading:
  Judges 2:10 - "...there arose another generation...who did not know the LORD..."

- Daily Topic:
  Ponder the importance of actively passing down faith through intentional acts and teachings.

- Life Application Follow-Up Exercise:
  Consider ways to share a faith-related story or teaching with someone younger. Plan a family devotion or write a faith-based letter to a loved one.

- Closing Prayer:
  Ask for courage and creativity in passing on your faith, and pray for those who will receive it for open hearts and minds.

Day 3: Cultural Influence and Biblical Conviction
- Opening Prayer:
  Pray for clarity and strength to hold onto biblical convictions amidst the pressure of cultural norms.

- Scripture Reading:
  Colossians 2:8 - "See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy..."

- Daily Topic:
  Reflect on areas where culture may be influencing your beliefs more than Scripture.

- Life Application Follow-Up Exercise:
  Identify one cultural belief or practice that conflicts with biblical teachings. Research what the Bible says and consider practical steps to align with God's Word.

- Closing Prayer:
  Thank God for His Word as a guide and ask for help in discerning truth from cultural pressures.

Day 4: The Danger of Complacency
- Opening Prayer:
  Ask God to help you remain vigilant in your faith, especially during times of prosperity.

- Scripture Reading:
  Joshua 21:45 - "Not one of the good promises...failed; all came to pass."

- Daily Topic:
  Consider the risk of taking God's blessings for granted when life is comfortable.

- Life Application Follow-Up Exercise:
  Make a gratitude list for the blessings in your life. Reflect on how you can use these blessings to serve God and others.

- Closing Prayer:
  Thank God for His numerous blessings and seek His guidance to remain active and grateful in your faith journey.

Day 5: A Personal Encounter with God
- Opening Prayer:
  Pray for a personal encounter with God and a deeper relationship with Him.

- Scripture Reading:
  Judges 2:7 - "...who had seen all the great work of the LORD which He had done for Israel."

- Daily Topic:
  Explore the importance of personal experiences with God in maintaining a vibrant faith.

- Life Application Follow-Up Exercise:
  Dedicate time to intentionally seek God through prayer, worship, and meditation on Scripture. Write about any new insights or experiences in your journal.

- Closing Prayer:
  Ask God to reveal Himself in new ways and cultivate a continuous, personal relationship with Him.
