PG, Week 3: Divine Parenting--Nurturing Faith & Character
Day 1: Understanding the Call of Parenting
Opening Prayer:
"Dear Lord, open our hearts to understand the sacred call You have given us in parenting. Grant us wisdom and strength to fulfill this role according to Your purposes. Amen."
Scripture Reading:
3 John 1:4 – "I have no greater joy than this, to hear of my children walking in the truth."
Daily Topic:
The divine purpose of parenting.
Life Application:
Reflect on how you perceive your role as a parent or mentor. Write down one way you can better guide your children or those you influence towards truth this week.
Closing Prayer:
"Father, thank You for entrusting us with the care of children. Help us to lead them in Your truth and fill us with joy as we see them walk in Your ways. Amen."
Day 2: The Power of Communication
Opening Prayer:
"Lord Jesus, teach us how to communicate effectively with our children. Help us to express love and guidance in all our interactions. Amen."
Scripture Reading:
Colossians 3:21 – "Fathers, do not exasperate your children, so that they will not lose heart."
Daily Topic:
Choosing dialogue over commands.
Life Application:
Identify one communication habit that might be exasperating your children or those around you. Practice a new approach that encourages open dialogue and emotional safety.
Closing Prayer:
"God, help us to communicate with patience and love. Let our words build up rather than tear down, fostering an environment of trust and nurturing. Amen."
Day 3: Discipline with Love
