Opening Prayer
Heavenly Father, we come before You with open hearts and minds, seeking Your wisdom and guidance. As we gather to discuss Your Word, let Your Spirit lead our conversation, open our eyes to Your truth, and inspire us to trust in Your sovereignty. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

1. Philippians 4:6 - "Be anxious for nothing..."
2. Matthew 6:24-34 - Passages focusing on not serving two masters and the call not to worry.
3. Romans 8:5-6, 28, 31 - Mindset of the Spirit and God’s sovereignty.

Discussion Topics and Related Questions

1. Understanding Worry and Anxiety:
   - Why do you think worry is categorized as a sin in the sermon?
   - How can neglecting material responsibilities lead to anxiety?
   - Discuss the statement: “Worry is sin with no temporal or eternal benefit”.

2. God's Sovereignty and Purpose:
   - In what ways does an understanding of God’s sovereignty help alleviate our worries?
   - How does Romans 8:28 assure us of God working in our lives?

3. Earthly Concerns vs. Spiritual Focus:

Follow Up Exercise
- Weekly Reflection: Encourage group members to choose one area of worry in their lives and consciously surrender it to God through prayer and reflection. Ask them to write down any changes they experience during the week.
- Acts of Trust: Each member could commit to one practical action that demonstrates trust in God, such as forgiving someone, making a difficult decision, or volunteering their time to help others. Share experiences at the next meeting.

Closing Prayer
Lord, thank You for the time we have spent together discussing Your Word. May the insights gained today dwell in our hearts and transform our actions. Help us to trust in Your provision, find peace in Your presence, and live each day with a focus on Your kingdom. We pray for Your continuous guidance and protection. In Jesus' name, Amen.
