Scripture Reading: Luke 2:1-5
Daily Topic: The Journey to Bethlehem
Life Application: Reflect on the significance of Joseph and Mary's journey from Nazareth to Bethlehem. Consider areas in your own life where you feel God is leading you on a journey. Identify ways you can be more receptive and obedient to God's direction.
Follow-Up Exercise: Write a short journal entry about a journey you are currently on or feel called to. Pray for guidance and strength to follow God's leading.
Closing Prayer: Thank God for the examples of faith shown by Joseph and Mary. Ask for courage to follow His direction in your own life.
Day 2:
Opening Prayer: Ask for eyes to see the message of Jesus' humility and hearts to receive it.
Scripture Reading: Luke 2:6-7
Daily Topic: The Humility of Jesus’ Birth
Life Application: Consider the humility of Jesus' birth in a manger and what it means for our own lives. Reflect on ways you can embrace humility in your interactions this week.
Follow-Up Exercise: Identify one area in your life where you need to practice more humility. Make a specific plan on how you will showcase humility in this situation.
Closing Prayer: Pray for a heart that values humility over status and ask for the grace to live humbly.
Day 3:
Opening Prayer: Invite God's presence to guide your understanding of sacrifice and redemption.
Scripture Reading: Exodus 12:5-6; John 19:36
Daily Topic: The Symbolism of the Lamb of God
Life Application: Reflect on Jesus as the Lamb of God and His role in our redemption. Consider how understanding this deepens your appreciation for His sacrifice.
Follow-Up Exercise: Spend time in prayer or writing a letter to God, thanking Him for the gift of Jesus as the sacrificial Lamb and reflecting on what this means for your life.
Closing Prayer: Offer prayers of gratitude for Jesus' sacrifice and ask for a deeper understanding of His love.
